Hi everyone,

Sorry not been about for months, its been an horrendous summer family wise and my allergies have had to take a back seat, however:

Its that dreaded time of the year again, I have spotted my first Poinsettia in Lidl so be aware. Perhaps other members could post when they spot them. I will contact the major supermarkets to see when they will start having them in store.

I have asked in store if they can be moved.... so will see what happens... I will be phoning before I visit again...

Be interesting to see if they do anything about it. I went out for a meal with people to a hotel and they had one on the window ledge of the conservatory where we were eating I spotted it before going to sit at our table and the staff moved it out of the room with no problems at all.

They just seem to be everywhere at this time of year.

Hi everyone

As I react with a dry mouth etc (different type of reaction than with latex) if I enter rooms with poinsettias, I decided that I would try taking an anti-histamine about 10 minutes before entering the shop, this appears to work for me and I have no reaction.

HOWEVER, I MUST stress that this is what works for me and everyone is different and even with my latex allergy I have had some nastier reaction however I have never gone into an anaphylactic shock reaction. Therefore everyone needs to make up their own minds based on the severity of their reaction.

I have to say it has made my life a whole lot easier this Christmas and I feel alot happier and not feeling as if I was missing out - its bad enough avoiding balloons. Keep Safe.
