Carrots
04.02.10 at 17:41:00

I was just wondering if anyone with latex allergy and food cross reactions has had any issues with carrots.

Having failed with sweet potatoes I am now considering carrots, it has been suggested that I peel them with gloves on and cook them well.

Teddy,
You mentioned previously that you have trouble eating carrots do you know if this is the salicylate intolerance or the latex allergy?

Take care,

Thanks for that Bob, it is always a good start to know that someone else with latex allergy is OK with a food.

Hi Tabby

Sorry for not replying sooner just on computer. As far as I am aware it is relating to my salicylate intolerance.

Hope that helps and let me know how it goes

Take care

Hope you are doing well Tabby. It is a case of try one thing at a time and give it a go without adding in anything else for a while to find out what you react to. Best thing to do is  keep a well written diary not only about the foods you are trying but about your environment etc etc write everything down and then you can look back and see if you can pinpoint patters occurring that may help you.

Give the diary a try. You can't do it without a diary.

Take care
