Hello Chums
Do any of you wear disposable coveralls or caps one in a working or DIY capacity? Let me explain...
I work with archives (historic documents) and as some of these have not been kept in optimum conditions in the past the can present problems mould, ordinary dust and red rot dust. Obviously as a highly sensitive individual it is important I don't breath these things in!
Obtaining latex free respirators, goggles and gloves seems to be relatively easy. I am, however, struggling to obtain any coveralls and caps that are not elasticated. No company seems willing to say its elastic is not at least in part NRL.
Searching for ''latex-free mob caps'' or ''latex-free coveralls'' online has proved a frustrating experience because on further questioning the supplier/manufacturers companies can't identify the content of the elastic or won't guarante it (check out the FAQ here:
http://www.medisave.co.uk/premier-standard-mob-caps-white-per-case-of-1000-p-210
.html for instance - its a shocker!). Hence the request for a recommendation…
I feel very confused with Dupont Tyvek coveralls as the US sites says they don't use latex since 2006 but the UK branch of the company told our supplier they can not guarantee they latex free. Yawn.
Be glad to hear of any recommendations you may have,
Drizzle
PS I should perhaps add that I have my own washable overalls and cap. However the folk who will be assigned to assist me need disposable coveralls and mob caps and as I will be working in very close proximity to them I don't want to take any chances...
