Hey all,
Has anyone had an issue with Passion Fruit? Had an orange and passion fruit drink today and it didnt go down well! I dont think it was the orange as I'm ok with eating fresh oranges. O'well Passion fruit is just one more thing to avoid in the future. argh.

Teddy had a test for Passion Fruit if I remember rightly. I don't think she reacted to it.

I haven't tried or been tested for passion fruit.
My immunologist said I should avoid all tropical fruits including passion fruit, but I'm not sure if this was latex or salicylate related.
Hope your reaction wasn't to bad,
Tabby

Hi Erika.
The link below indicates that passionfruit is high on the list of contraindicated for latex allergy.
I have not reacted to it but now avoid the J2O drinks that are orange and passionfruit just in case.

Hi
I can't take passion fruit but again as far as I am led to believe it was to do with my salicylates intolerance not the latex.
Take care
Teddy
ps it was not related to my latex as far as I know

I had a passionfruit jelly 2 days ago and had an allergic reaction, thought it was only flavoured and would be ok, but looked at label and it contained 1% passionfruit juice. Guess thats another thing on the list of foods to avoid!

I’ve also reacted to Passion Fruit, started with J20. Had two before I made the link then some time later reacted worse with a cake with a passion fruit purée top which I totally didn’t register (bad on my part!) so actively avoid and more cautious with cakes now! Wouldn’t care, love a nice cocktail with passion fruit.
