On another forum I asked about latex use in the production of special nut free cakes.  I have just been told it is latex free so am rather happy!

I normally make things for us but being able to pop to Sainsburies and buy a cake is fab.

Hi Chantelle

Great news but I am a little confused. You say pop into Sainsbury and I looked at the threads and it was talking about a teddy bear chocolate cake from tesco. Reason I ask is I recently bought someone the chocolate teddy cake from one of the supermarkets I don't remember which one  but did not know it was latex free which is excellent news. Not that I got a bit due to other food allergies!

Can you just let me know if it is the sainsbury one or tesco

Thanks

Lesley

Hope you both enjoyed the cake.

As far as I know they have a fairy cake and a pirate cake available in sainsburies there is talk of a choc teddy cake in tesco too.
I was talking to the lady who makes them so she could check about the content and if latex gloves etc were used.  She says not.
